My fiance (27f) and I (30m) are moving from east Raleigh to Fuquay-Varina, and looking for a good home course where we can become members. Don't care too much about the whole country club vibe, mostly because the cost isnt justifiable to be honest. More in it for the fun of the golf, plus we are planning to get lessons.
I just stumbled upon Keith Hills and feel like for the price, it seems pretty fantastic. Anything I might be missing? Avg of about $130 a month for the two of us for unlimited golf sounds like a no brainier.

Quicksilver, my 8 y/o domestic short hair cat (neutered, 12.75lb, deaf), suffered from two asthma attacks on Monday and was struggling to breathe after the second one. He was panting, had his tongue sticking out, was almost limp, and his tongue/gums weren't as bright of a pink as they normally are. My partner and I took him to an Emergency Vet and we were told he had a pneumothorax. The vet also said spontaneous pneumothorax are rare in cats and are typically seen in patients that were in car accidents or fell from a tall building. After being kept on oxygen overnight (link to health info like HR, Respiratory rate, etc from his stay at the ER vet), taking x-rays (link to x-rays) and having a chest tap done which removed 60ml of air, he was stable enough to be taken to a local diagnostic veterinary hospital where they did more scans (CT, EKG, cardiac and abdominal ultrasounds that I don't have ). They were unable to pinpoint what might have caused the pneumothorax other than possibly asthma and said that his lungs look very inflamed and he still had a little air left in his chest cavity.
I have another cat, Ashe, (male, dsh, neutered, almost 4 y/o, 12lb, diabetic and in remission as of last June) who has also been suffering from asthma as well. We ended up taking him to the vet since we were told the pneumothorax might have been caused by untreated asthma. The only treatment offered was depo shots every 3 months, but after significant weight loss in both cats the asthma attacks lessened so we were told it was okay to stop them because of side effects. After the vet took x-rays of my younger cat (link to x-rays), they said that his lungs also looked inflamed.
The vet was confused and asked me a few times if the cats were related, which they're not. She was brainstorming on potential external factors like maybe a dusty carpet or plants. I have a lot of plants, but I think she was under the impression that there are flowers everywhere which isn't the case and the plants are in a tent. Then I remembered that we found what looked like mold in our HVAC a few weeks ago (or maybe it has now become months... link to pics of HVAC). I also realized something strange: if my memory is correct, then both cats began having asthma attacks only after I moved from NC to this house in Central Texas in January 2021. I had written it off as allergies since I also seemed to be struggling with symptoms (I'm asthmatic and am allergic to various pollens and mold which are common allergens here in Central Texas). I began monitoring the daily allergen levels, taking daily allergy medicine, got an air purifier, and a higher quality air filter that is changed monthly, but nothing really helped. My partner seems to also be suffering, but again, we just chalked it up to allergies.
The vet said the mold could be a potential cause, but I just wanted to share our experience on here and see if mold exposure/allergies can cause a spontaneous pneumothorax? Or if anyone has heard of or experienced anything similar. Also, something I remembered after I left the vet is that the cats spent 1-3 years living in a home with a cannabis smoker if that is relevant information.
The vet bills were very expensive so the prospect of dealing with the costs of mold remediation services on top of the vet expenses is pretty scary from a financial standpoint. I'm not looking for specific treatment instructions or to verify whether my vet's hypothesis is correct. I just need to know how seriously we should be taking this mold situation because my partner and I are both just incredibly exhausted from the events of this week. Regardless of whether anyone knows if there is a correlation between mold exposure and a spontaneous pneumothorax, if the mold seems like a serious problem please tell me. I really need external validation that it might be serious, because I've been severely downplaying my own concerns since I'm generally a worrier. And should I try to do tests to possibly determine what kind of mold might be present?
This is off-topic from the post but relevant to the x-rays - I learned something very interesting about my older cat from those x-rays: he has two BB pellets embedded in his body. I'm still trying to come to terms with that, because I likely know who did that to him, but I'm just grateful he's still alive today. He was an indoooutdoor cat when I lived with my parents and was injured a bit over 6 years ago a month before I moved out and then became indoor-only. My mom had claimed the neighbors shot him, but I brushed it off and thought it might have been an animal attack since there was a puncture wound on his thigh and a chunk missing out of his foot. But the thigh injury matches with the BB pellet location on the x-ray, so now I finally have an answer...
