Flying in from Copenhagen (this is part of a Denmark/UK trip for 2 Los Angeles based tourists) on Aug 15th and planning to stay for 3-4 days along with a day trip by train to Pitlochry (Blair Athol Distillery) and then taking a train to London before flying out on the 22nd. Neither of us have ever been to UK, but have been in many countries of the world.
Budget is 300-400 a night USD and ideally in a walkable area and not unreasonably far from Waverly.
Admittedly didn't do much research on the city yet, but the flights are all booked.

The Finals matchup is set: Denver Nuggets vs. Miami Heat. But today, there is another big piece of news.
It is official: Bob Myers, general manager of the Golden State Warriors and architect of their dynasty, is stepping down after eneven years. His departure does not take effect until June 30, but media and fans already consider him as good as gone.
Almost a year ago, the Warriors won their most surprising title. The Splash Brothers Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, as well as do-it-all forward, Draymond Green, were aging but still productive; and an underrated supporting cast featuring Kevon Looney, Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole, and Gary Payton II also picked up the slack and turned into valuable contributors.
But since then, everything fell by the wayside. Green and Poole had a scuffle, and the team's chemistry was rattled. The Warriors went from third to sixth, barely got past the Sacramento Kings in seven, then were eliminated in six by LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and the Los Angeles Lakers.
And with Myers leaving, the end could be nigh. Steph and Klay still have contracts, but Draymond is the problem. Do you keep him and his behavioral issues around, or do you break up the band and start all over? Same goes for Poole and the secondary guys.
And speaking of the Kings, they are experiencing a turnaround under Mike Brown, the first unanimous Coach of the Year; and Executive of the Year Monte McNair. Brown gets most of the credit as the head coach, but McNair, as the general manager, also deserves his, as it was under him that Fox received the richest contract in franchise history.
With Fox and Domantas Sabonis (also a McNair maneuver) at the helm, the Kings could very well return to heights not seen since the Greatest Show on Court and surpass the Warriors as NorCal's team. What do you think? Sound off below!

Terror is back in Port Hope as ‘It’ returns

Filming continued Monday and Tuesday in downtown Port Hope for what’s expected to be the next production in the “It” horror movie franchise, believed to be a prequel television series for HBO Max likely to be called “Welcome to Derry.”
Since mid-May, Port Hope has been bursting with all sorts of new colour and decor such as Derry signs and Derry-themed storefronts — and what appears to be 1960s-themed shops — as a temporary makeover for the picturesque downtown and some residential areas for filming, which began Wednesday.
The production is officially referred to as “Greetings from Fairview.” Port Hope was also a backdrop for filming of scenes for the 2017 “It” and 2019 “It Chapter Two.”
Many street closures, intermittent traffic stops and pedestrian delays, parking limitations and transit reroutes were in place for the filming.
Memorial Park was closed over the weekend for set dressing, though the playground remained open for use. An American flag was temporarily installed at 5 Mill St. S. for the filming.
Port Hope Mayor Olena Hankivsky said she’s been out meeting with film crews.
“Basically, it’s the crews and cast that are in town. There’s on any given day between 130 and 150 (people) I believe in total,” Hankivsky said.
“I’m seeing the community come out and (people) are so fascinated with how the downtown’s been transformed,” Hankivsky said. “They’re taking selfies and they’re posting things — and I could see there’s such pride in Port Hope because of this filming.
“I really do think it brings people together in that sense of pride around the architecture, the heritage and the community, and the fact that we’ve been chosen to be featured and featured, we know now, in many different movies, and TV shows and series, and I do think it’s something that’s a source of pride for the community.”
Many Port Hopers are revelling in the fun — sharing their excitement, posting photos online — and the nostalgia, as classic cars and trucks were spotted around town and vintage-inspired storefronts lined the downtown, transporting residents back in time.
On Walton Street, Jim’s Pizza and Pasta has been transformed into “the Jade of the Orient Chinese Restaurant” — which was featured in “It Chapter Two” when the Losers’ Club returns.
The restaurant keeps reminding folks it’s just a façade for filming — that it’s not a new Chinese food restaurant.
Meanwhile, Kingsmill Kitchens and Baths on Walton has been turned into Lora Lee and has mannequins in its windows, with a sign reading “still open — dressed for filming.”
Other businesses are sporting names for filming like: The Derry Grill, The Derry Press and Tony’s Barber Shop, with a “since 1948” time reference. There’s also a Kodak shop, barber and bakery shops and more.
The prequel series is expected to star Madeleine Stowe, James Remar and Chris Chalk, with brother and sister Andy and Barbara Muschietti — from the last two films — listed as director (Andy) and writers.
There has also been some filming in Toronto.

Wondering if anyone was trying to take public transportation/the the shuttle they mentioned on their site awhile ago? IF SO, can you let me know if there ACTUALLY IS a shuttle from Parsons Parking lot in Pasadena?
On their site it mentioned this but after other people (I assume) and myself asked them for more info about it they took the info down. Curious if there is an actual shuttle or they got rid of it to make some money back on parking.

I’ve never been a TV person, I’m a Film guy. I think most tv kinda sucks aside from a few gems. Succession was about to go down as my favorite television series of all time on a very short list, but I hated the ending so much that now I’ll probably never watch it again or any other TV for that matter. I thought every writing decision in the last episode ruined the series for me as a whole, and especially the last season. I’ve never been so upset over a piece of media. I feel weird too because all the reviews online are great but my friends and family and I all hated it so much. I don’t even really want to talk about it or think about it again now that it’s done. I just want to forget I ever saw it. I probably won’t respond to any of the comments on this if there are any just because it’s just not even worth going through or talking about. Just venting I guess, seeing if anyone else feels as heartbroken over the ending, in a negative way.
Between losing Netflix this month, MAX ruining HBO, the WGA strike and upcoming SAG strike and the awful end to Succession, I think TV is over. (At least for me).

Can someone recommend a route and places to stay for a road trip from LA to the Texas capital?

What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.

I am looking for a PC that will let me use at least 3 monitors. My basic internet usage is streaming TV while using lots of browser widows. I moderate a very large subreddit, so the biggest thing is something that will be fast enough to let me trudge through all the shit quickly and go on with my day.
Ideally, I would want something that would let me also play Master Chief Collection on Steam as well, though this isn't a huge factor as I only try to open it maybe once or twice a year.

What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes?

Value and performance are the most important things here. I am a broke bitch, so I don't want to spend any more than I need to, but I rather put money up front for a good product than spend another ten years working with lag and frustration. La verdad la adaptación colombiana de Breaking Bad llamada Metástasis no es tan mala como muchos creen. Obvio si la comparas con la serie original no hay punto de comparación sabiendo la obra de culto que es Breaking Bad. Pero a nivel de Colombia la verdad tiene calidad en actuación y trama, aunque los personajes no son tan atrapantes y dinámicos como la original, la adaptación cumple con su cometido, si la comparas con las series y novelas de la TV nacional su calidad es más que notable. Por eso lanzo esta opinión impopular puesto que para juzgarla bien hay que matizar aspectos de la misma.
