My little brother just graduated high school and was really excited to finally buy his own laptop. He did lots of research and decided on a Yoga 6 (exact specs aren’t important, but it seemed to have everything we wanted on paper). We ordered it on Sunday, since they had memorial day sales, and set it for pick up at a nearby Best Buy, since Lenovo claimed there would be same day pick up from there. They sent me a confirmation email with an order number and placed a hold on my debit card. Now it’s more than 48 hours later and the Best Buy still has no record of our order, my whole family has tried calling Lenovo customer support (and tried the online chat function) and they have just told us to keep waiting (which like, will that really help? It was supposed to be ready two days ago) or to cancel our order (which like huh?? why do we have to cancel our order just because something went wrong on your end?). We even tried to ask to speak to a supervisor and they refused to connect us, looking at other threads I’m learning this isn’t an uncommon experience. Basically I was just wondering if anyone else was dealing with this? Or had any suggestions? At this point we may just cancel the order and not buy because of how poor the customer service has been, I’m mostly just mad because my brother was so excited and now they’ve really ruined his week.

TLDR: in 2002 i was looking at Mars in the night sky. clouds began to obstruct it. then something resembling Mars came down through the clouds and suddenly appeared to be a small drone or flying orb hovering above me maybe 100 or 200 feet away. then went back above the clouds and when the clouds parted i was just looking at Mars again. i have non-paranoid reasons to believe i was under surveillance and i think this was some kind of "eye in the sky" secret spy tech.
I'm using the "Sighting" flair instead of "Drug Induced" bc i wasn't under the influence when i had the sighting. the sighting was just one event of many during much high weirdness i experienced during this time in my life. the drug induced NDE is interesting and i give an account of it, but the orb sighting fits more with the content of this sub i guess?
I posted recently about the one other thing i'd call an "exerperience" i've had which was like an out of body experience / astral body experience that i had always mistaken for a lucid dream until i connected the dots. The experience i want to recount here has many parts but i'll just focus on what seems most relevant for this sub.
in 2002 i was 19 and living with my then gf in Southern California. i found a website selling 5-methoxy-DMT from a Chinese lab. i ordered some. it looked very pure even just by appearance. a fine white crystalline powder with a very slight blue hue that made it look even more white somehow. i inhaled vapor from it in a glass pipe and immediately felt the gnostic experience of dying. by that i mean i wasn't afraid that my body was dying. i had the direct knowledge that what i was experiencing was what it feels like when the soul leaves the body. my jaw opened involuntarily and it felt like my soul was evacuating out my mouth, nostrils, and eyes. i was overwhelmed with the most extreme terror and absolute bliss all at once. so there's that, the gnostic awareness imparted on me that there is absolutely a soul, and there is continuity of consciousness after death, and it was actually the most familiar sensation i'd ever felt. i just knew by feeling it, without any shred of doubt whatsoever, that i'd felt this countless times before when i've died in countless past lives, and this is the soul returning to the spirit realm.
So that's kind of the first part, although this obviously isn't anything paranormal per se since it was clearly a drug induced psychedelic experience. i mention the effects of the drug only because they were practically paranormal themselves. not exactly paranormal, but such a vivid and different kind of NDE. for about 5 minutes i knew exactly what it felt like to enter the spirit realm. just a flash. but gnostic certainty.
This experience set off a whole host of paranoid ideas and intense, like..., "spiritual anxiety." I was intensely paranoid about what i'd done to my karma or soul by "cheating" and getting a glimpse of the great mystery of death, and life / the universe & everything, by this chemical shortcut. not by yoga, or a lifetime of spiritual discipline. just a chemical. so anyway, my mind is kind of reeling for days and days after. pondering endless, very specific, and very bizarre karmic consequences that i might face.
The real relevant "experience" for this sub, though, is what I saw one night when i went on our back patio. this was a time when Mars was closer to Earth than it had been for hundreds of years. it was a bright brown dot in the night sky. it was a pretty clear night, and i looked up at the night sky admiring Mars. then clouds obscured it but i saw it... again... only it was descending THROUGH the clouds! this obviously wasn't Mars. it appeared to be hovering maybe 100 or 200 feet above me. it was orb shaped, and looked like it had a visor shaped lens cover that could move up to reveal the lens or close to cover it. truly an "Eye in the Sky." It's like it just got a closeup look at me and then hovered back into the clouds. when the clouds parted there was Mars again, stationery in the night sky as it should be.
I was pretty confident (not even paranoid about this actually, surprisingly) that i was under surveillance for purchasing this technically legal at the time but gray-area kind of "research chemical" online. i wasn't concerned about getting in legal trouble. there were several signs of surveillance, and operatives even actively messing with my head "revealing themselves" to me in a couple different instances, kind of. i got the distinct impression that they just wanted to observe me, and see if they could induce psychosis or paranoia or something, knowing that my mind was reeling after the experiences i'd had on the drug. i figured they must know the effects of this drug well and want to see how it might change my behavior, etc.
Years later when i went to college i was curious to look up research chemical vendors again and one of the websites i found had a splash page that showed digital art of an alien planet landscape, then an animation enters from the side of the screen. AN ORB WITH AN EYE AND SHUTTER JUST LIKE I SAW. only it had an alien eye in it. it just floats in from the side of the screen, kind of blinks or winks at you, and then goes off-screen again.
I'm pretty well convinced that government surveillance explains all of this. the only shady or weird kind of thing was this orb shaped drone thing that was probably some kind of secret spy tech. i guess it's possible ETs took an interest in observing me while i was using this powerful and mysterious drug too?

So after dropping the phone and cracking the screen, I had it sit in a drawer for a year or so before I finally decided to order a new screen, installation went smoothly, and few seconds after I plugged in the charger, the phone did boot up to the home screen, but to my surprise, the battery wouldn't go beyond 0%. Then I noticed something weird, side buttons also weren't functioning, and as soon as I unplug the charger, the phone would shut off. So I thought that it must be the battery, might have completely died after sitting for that long without charging. Yesterday I received a new battery from Aliexpress with a respectable feedback score, installed it, plugged in the charger, then the phone would show the initial boot up screen for a second or two, then the charging animation, then nothing. The only other sign of life is the led on top, it was red then turned green, and the phone does show, although briefly, the charging animation after I take it off the charger. I'm not sure what to do, I tried all the pressing buttons options that I have read online(might be more that I don't know about), but I am fearful that for whatever reason, the side buttons have decided to give up on me.

I got told today that I’m finally on the “inactive list.” Which I didn’t know existed until my grandfather told me. I, of course, got read the riot act by my grandparents but my husband knows I’m not interested in it anymore. I don’t care honestly but what gets me is “if youre inactive it’s just as good as being disfellowshipped.”

Being in a high conflict co-parenting situation, I really would like to go no contact with my ex. In 3 years, my children will all be grown, and that will be possible, but I'm not sure my mental health can take another 3 years.
I recently found grey rock communications online, and wondering if anyone has used them and can tell me about their experience. Looks like they monitor our communication app (which we already use per court order), and send and receive messages on my behalf, which they shield me from. So if ex goes on a rant, they will only tell me what I need to know from said rant. (Just the facts without his colorful commentary) And when I send a message to them, they will massage the wording to try to keep conflict to a minimum. This sounds like a god send for my situation!
If anyone has dealt with this company, or know of others similar that I could look into, I would love to hear your reccommendations and feedback!

Suggestions to fix these:

• Host an open beta for players of all skill levels, they literally have a testing game but don’t use it
• Add something to gather feedback in-game
• Revise the patch notes to be complete and add descriptions to why each balance change was made

Hear me out, EZGG. You own one of, if not THE #1 PvP game on Roblox. However, you still have some serious transparency issues. For one, you have issues with the community having a serious lack of impact/moderation in some cases, neglect tons of features you push out, and have some of the most confusing balancing changes of any competitive PVP game out there (not limited to the Roblox platform.)
First off, let’s talk about your community management. Rarely ever do you people interact with the community, whether it be on Reddit (somewhat understandable), your Discord server outside of dropping patches, you’ve abandoned your Twitter (which will probably be deleted by their new policies if you keep this up), and THE SUGGESTION BOARD, THE ONE PLATFORM YOU SPECIFICALLY CREATED TO RECIEVE AND IMPLEMENT FEEDBACK. It’s unmoderated to the point where we’ve had trolls post the most unspeakable content here. Even if you do lurk anywhere, it’s unknown to everyone here, there, and everywhere. If any of you are worried about having to deal with tons of children, just embrace it. This is the game you created; online games tend to have generally toxic and immature fanbases, this is normal. Even if your fanbase might be immature, they can still hold valid criticism that shouldn’t be ignored.
Next up, let’s take a look at all of the features you’ve straight up forgotten about. Let’s see here: some random limited time item, custom map creation, another item, some mode, yet another limited time item, you get the drill. It’s a shame to think that some genuinely cool mode would be forgotten in 6 months’ time, and yes, I get that they’re supposed to be limited time modes, but you’ve kept Duels and 30v30 in the game for so long you could just give them the SkyWars/Lucky Block treatment and make them permanent modes under the Classic queue. If you had 3 queues, one for more casual modes like Murder in Bedtown or some hide and seek mode, and had the other two for “sweatier” modes like Juggernaut, Skull Drop, CTF, and Gun Game, with the casual queue and one of the two intense queues swapping each week, that would make them a lot less repetitive and would embrace the concept of limited time a lot better. For the items, an idea to use them is to make a RandomizeItem Asylum styled mode where you get a melee, a ranged weapon, and some other helpful items, lower ranked players get better items in general.
To add onto my previous statement, custom maps are a feature with tons of potential, but there’s zero incentive to make them as of right now. It feels like not even 1% of the playerbase would care if they got removed. Many people have made amazing maps that could be added into the actual game, whether it be LTM maps, gamemodes, or general maps created for classic modes. I’m pretty sure people have the ability to make a lot more interesting. Map and mode contests would be really interesting to see, and this would save the devs some time creating updates as well as getting generally better responses from the community, as they were the ones who picked the content. The ability to publish and browse custom maps to play in-game would help a lot as well.
Lastly, your balance changes and patch notes can be incredibly confusing. I can’t remember any time there was actual information behind any specific change unless it was the main highlight of an update. Another issue is shadow changes (which could be nerfs, buffs, or removals). When Sheep Herder got a buff for placing down a Fire Sheep or when Cletus got Pumpkin Seeds they were interesting changes except for one glaring issue: THEY WERE KEPT A SECRET FOR PEOPLE TO FIND OUT. I don’t think I have to explain why this isn’t good for a PvP game. A worse way this is executed is when a patch is made in one update but they don’t announce it until the next (thinking Zephyr triple jump at the end of March 2023), where no announcement was made, not even midweek. However, if that’s not bad enough, how about just removing stuff like T4 enchants and snowballs and not even saying anything?
Anyways, that’s not even the scummiest you’ve done: that honor would go to dropping a kit and then just nerfing it to the ground. Sheila is the best example: she was broken on launch and nerfed to the point where many felt scammed afterwards. This can apply to tons of other kits, but I could go on all day. Also, for some reason, some random kits get changed even when others are in dire need of changes and reworks. Lumen’s constant buffs (at least for a period of time) were probably due to his low pickrate (PLEASE correct me if I’m wrong!), however the issue isn’t based off him being a bad kit; it’s the fact that he’s NEVER been free and he costs twice as much to use as any other kit. You have Whisper who’s been getting nerfed… where it doesn’t matter. Whisper is used because of the flight ability and to knock people into the void, not mainly to heal or damage. Lastly, Dino Tamer Dom and Spirit Catcher were broken on release and have been getting nerf after nerf past the point where they’re balanced, although they still get nerfed nonetheless for some reason.
My best idea to address these issues?
Host 24 hour long open beta sessions on Wednesdays-Thursdays, starting 48 hours before the Friday 3PM PST update. You have a game for testing, now put it to work with your general playerbase, not just with famous YouTubers and skilled players. Players should be locked to a few kits with balance changes that are considered for the update after the session. Experiment a bit. Let Archer scope in with his bow (#4629), give Melody a boombox, allow Smoke to cancel his invis, bring back random items like the Impulse Grenade (bet half of you don’t know what that is), etc. If you’re worried about cheaters, make it 1 Robux to access, shouldn’t be that hard to earn if you go to any donation game to ever exist.
Add a mailbox in the lobby for people to submit feedback, whether it be a simple “On a scale of 1 to 5, how powerful is X kit/item?” or something more personalized. Reward those who submit feedback (moreso the former type of question to prevent abuse) with a lucky crate or something, that would also solve the issue of people who want more ways to get crates after they hit Lv 20.
And now, the simplest idea of them all:Add a description why each balance change was made in the patch notes. This will help the players understand what you’re trying to accomplish, which loops back into better feedback.

Don’t get me wrong; I love this game and want to see it grow, but I feel like the community needs more involvement in order for the game to be the best it can be. DV dropped a video with some similar points, it’s a good watch (or listen) and it has a bunch of opinions from some other YouTubers, maybe check that out if you enjoyed reading this.

After roughly a years worth of abuse, my ninebot ES1L (the most basic of basic ES line scooter) brake gave out. Essentially, the scooter now thinks that the brake is engaged when it physically is not, and when the brake lever is fully depressed the scooter thinks it has released its brakes. You could think of it as the brake lever suddenly becoming inverted in functionality. Odd isn't it.
Originally I thought salt water entered the control board and corroded the connection points of the brake cables but I see none. I took apart the brake pedal assembly and couldn't find anything, I even tried flipping the sensor in between the magnets but all that did was make the brake pedal only engage while lightly pressed, and it engages at full force not partial force like intended. When the pedal is fully depressed it does nothing.
Thinking about ordering a replacement brake level online, however, I don't believe the lever seems to be the issue, it seems more like an issue on the control unit. I could be wrong, however, please do let me know.

Sure there were some bad things like the sudden shock of change, the mass panic, people going a bit silly, empty supermarket shelves, cops abusing their new found powers, and the gyms closing. But overall I look back on the time and actually miss it.
I was working at a bottle shop at the time, finishing off university. We were forced to have two people on at all times during work, which made the shifts so much more enjoyable, no longer solely listening to boozehounds telling you their problems. The Uni was forced to switch to pure online study which they didn't quite get all the bugs out. The assessments, especially the exams, were pretty much fish in a barrel. And not having to commute for at least an hour for classes was a huge relief. The streets were suddenly empty, and lets not forget the huge drop in gas prices and rent. The whole nightclub and bar scene, which I never really liked, completely evaporated. I no longer felt weird or somewhat guilty, for staying in my room and watching Netflix or listening to music. Since the usual activities were no longer available, I was forced to look for other activities and broaden my horizon. I started reading a lot more than I usually did, got better at cooking, worked on my car, learned far more than Uni was teaching me regarding programming and started a few fun projects. Not a complete reclusive, introvert so when I did socialize, it became an exciting, covert operation, of sneaking out 'against orders'. Not only that, when there was a lockdown or curfew, it was always such a thrill to meet up at night and walk around like rebellious teenagers again Might have to make this NSFW but I definitely noticed, that women in my area, seemed to become incredibly horny. For those who don't know, Tinder at the time would prioritize your list with people who have already swiped right on you. I would just open the app and immediately start getting matches. That was never the case before. And let me tell you, they sure were thirsty

Thinking it’s about that time to make my first purchase on the PSA website. They have great deals and I can’t continue to pass them up. I’m hesitant to order online since I saw a thread of a few people claiming they would see fraudulent activity on the card they used to purchase from the website. When I initially finished my playthrough last year, I had defeated every Superboss and completed everything I needed to get the first Secret Ending. Fast-Forward over a year later and I decided to revisit KH1 in order to finish up everything I missed. Thus began the arduous task of grinding to Level 100 and completing all the Synthesis requests. As annoying of a process as this was, it was still really nice to revisit KH1 after having played through the entire series last year. Not only that, but I figured I might as well get Ultima Weapon in KH1 considering I got it for every other game after that.
So, 18 hours later, I've finally done it! I even gave myself the KH1 Ultima Weapon flair to commemorate the occasion. It was really nice getting to see the ending sequence with Simple and Clean again, plus the special Secret Ending! I've already seen it, because I just had to satiate my curiosity after finishing the game for first time, but it was awesome to know that I actually worked to unlock it for myself! I can only imagine how crazy it must've been back in the day when people saw this ending for the first time before anyone knew how things were going to play out, or at the very least read about it online, since KH1 FM was Japan only at that point.
My next KH related goals are to do my first ever Critical Mode runs soon for KH2 and KH3. I'm very excited, and I'm hopeful they'll go as well as my 100% Merciless difficulty run for Persona 5 Strikers went.

Overall, the sneaker comes dressed in the original Black and White color scheme. It features its usual Black nubuck upper with its signature larger “AIR” lettering outlined with more White than the original came with. The shoe also comes with its original Black Jewel Swoosh on the heels. A Black rubber sole atop a a full-length Air-sole unit with a large White Swoosh underfoot.
