Advice on Compact/Subcompact Tractor - Kubota or Deere

2023.05.30 05:38 Available-Permit-480 Advice on Compact/Subcompact Tractor - Kubota or Deere

Hi,
We're looking for a sub-compact tractor that has a bucket, heavy mower, PTO and a good variety of implements to choose from. I've been looking at the JD 1023E and 1025R, as well as the Kubota BX series.
Key Tasks: - Meadow maintenance - Some light woody brush clean up (himalayan blackberries, coyote bush, broom, etc.) - Moving dirt, fert, building materials and gravel around - Light grading - maybe eventually grappeling some wood
Any advice? Other makes/models we should consider??
Thanks!

2023.05.29 21:36 Polifem The Bangkok show was a cathartic experience

EDIT: filler picture so Reddit doesn't show my FUCKING CRYING FACE AS A THUMBNAIL LOL
Oh well, here we go again.
You know something has rattled your soul to the core when you suddenly feel an urge to go make a bazillion character post on Reddit. I've been to more than a dozen BM shows at this point, but only once have I felt the urge to post something like this before. Today, my dear kitsune-tachi, is the second time.
The dust after Bangkok show has settled, I'm completely emotionally drained, and overcharged at the same time. This was hands down one of the very best BM concerts I've attended. To be completely honest this is easily top 3 right after LMG and Helsinki (ok this one's odd so I'll quickly explain: this was the show where I was center barrier in a tiniest of venues with a stage so low and so close to the barrier, it seemed that the band was playing just for me in my living room, and I didn't even notice the dead crowd until I heard other hardcore fans in the pit ranting about it right after the show). Actually, not even "right after", but "alongside". It felt so good.
The circumstances of me getting to the show are batshit insane so I'll definitely give you that context. I've been monitoring flight prices for Bangkok for 2-3 months before, and they have always fluctuated around 1k USD for a roundtrip from Moscow (where I live). So on may 25th, at 11:00 pm in the evening, just for the sake of it I decide to check how much would it cost to fly to Bangkok the very next day. And I see a roundtrip flight through Manama, Bahrain, departing from DME on the 26th at 16:10, at 550$. The lowest price I've seen in many months. I frantically check the availability of show tickets. They are all available including VIP!! Well... Then there was a night of booking various things and packing my shit, and then an absolutely insane morning at work where I had to sort everything out in 3 hours to ensure my unavailability until Tuesday morning wouldn't negatively impact the company in any way until I had to leave for the airport at like ~12 pm.
I'm so glad I followed that urge to JUST GO. I wouldn't have even beat myself over it if I didn't, but it's really funny to think that there is another Polifem in a parallel universe somewhere who decided to go to bed instead of checking ticket prices, having absolutely no clue that he could've got an insane charge of positive energy for many months to come... And could've been sitting after the show with a bunch of Thai fans with a beer in hand, speaking no common language but vibing in the exact same emotional register with them. AND I'M SO HAPPY I'M NOT HIM!
So, how was the show itself?
Well. Funny how some things are totally different in an actual live environment compared to recordings, both pro-shot, and fancams. For example, we meme about Distortion constantly (including myself), but there's nothing more fun than shouting Alissa's lines and Wowowow's during C&R on top of your lungs at a concert. You can meme all you want about "worst setlist" if it has Distortion in it, but it's actually this song that will get your voice completely fucked at a show. Or gimme chocolate. Yeah, it's old, and hardcore fans are sick and tired of it, however, have you tried to jump as high as you can during the chorus following the exact rhythm of a snare drum? Try that at home, you're gonna be surprised. You'll instinctively be doing it live, and it's hella fun. Also it's great that the full instrumental mute is back in RoR for the smaller shows. The fact that it wasn't there in the 2019-2020 US/EU tour was really disappointing, this has always been a moment of great unification between the fans and the band, good thing that they now do it not only in Japan.
The whole setlist was an absolute fire, which was the general consensus right after Jakarta show, so I kinda knew what I was getting when booking tickets (I STILL can't believe how fucking crazy is that. I actually watched the fancam of the entire Jakarta show at home having absolutely no idea I'll actually be at the very next show in 3 days in person LOL 😂), but some things I already mentioned above, and some things about to be mentioned, still surprised me. Here are some highlights:
1) I really loved that both the opening and ending songs were BMD and IDZ respectively, since they hold a very special place in my heart. I've always wanted to hear BMD live ever since that first barrage of sound on the Wembley blu-ray, which completely and irreversibly punched me into the fox hole, and it really did rattle my bones live like hell. IDZ is simply my favourite song by BM and having it close the show was something truly inspiring.
2) I also considered GREAT the lack of stupid lore at the end. Having girls themselves say goodbye felt a lot more human and the show itself felt a lot more complete. All they did is said a couple of kind words, thanked for coming, asked how was the show, bowed, and left after saying goodbye in thai. But the impact of that felt really different from the usual lore shenanigans, and it was a lot more fulfilling.
3) Fucking Anthony Barone, why are you so good? Honestly his drumming brings so much energy and brutal vibe to the show, you cannot even properly deal with it. There was a fill, I think in iine of all things, which made my mind completely shut down and go "WHHAAAAT?!" He's the GOAT and his style suits this band immensely.
4) New costumes fit the girls really nicely and look gorgeous live. Lighting had a great production as well which enhanced that feeling. I actually think that the high quality video will be able to convey the full awesomeness of their costumes, so when the BD of the Clear Night gets released, everyone will have a chance to properly look at them.
5) They considerably upped their game with the video footage. I thought to myself that the screen is finally helping the experience instead of tampering with the flow of the show. Kami did get lost again, but the ladies looked amazing with the footage behind them, especially in MAYA, IDZ (the thumbs up moment in front of the starry sky was really amazing), and PA PA YA with fire and shit.
6) Speaking of... Well, I cannot just say nothing about PA PA YA here, can I? It's the biggest elephant in the room in this show after all. One big, charismatic, rapping Thai elephant in a magnificent red coat with a towel in his hand. AND IT WAS HEAT!!! Well first of all, the amount of towels in the first few rows (I was center in the 3rd row) was as many as you could've hoped for. Second of all, F.Hero was unbelievably lively and charismatic. He drowned the entire hall with his energy! Girls were having the time of their lives as well, they seemed very relaxed, it was obvious they didn't really rehearse his feat and improvised on the go, and that actually made the whole thing really special. Honestly, I recommend you go watch some fancams of his cameo, you'll get it.
7) The high kick in BxMxC instead of the usual ponytail headbang by Su really deserves its own honorable mention. When she just brutally kicked the air almost higher than her own height, it was obvious that no, they didn't actually get tired on the long tour with Sabaton. You don't do shit like this when you're off your game.
8) There were a couple of technical hiccups during the encore, particularly with Su. They had her backtrack stand out too much during one moment in MK (not nearly on the level of Kagerou in Moscow, but it was still visible), and also forgot to switch her mic on in the opening notes of IDZ so the first "rururu"s weren't there at all, which is a shame, she always sings those so softly, you really feel the moment. But oh well, it's a live show, shit happens. The sound overall was REALLY good though in this venue, even though Su was drowned out at times. And I say it while I stood at the front, I imagine it was even better near the sound desk.
However, all this time I was tiptoeing around the biggest highlight of the show for me. The thing that actually made Bangkok a cathartic experience. FUCKING MONOCHROME HOLY SHIT. It's a godlike, transcendental experience. Su sings it with such a passion, the song itself has such a good structure, beautiful melody, gorgeous passionate choreography, it's one of the very best things this band has ever released. A true classic. And live... It's just on another plane of existence. Unity, tranquility, some kind of emotional rebirth, you feel it all. Here's my face right after it finished. I just cried the entire song starting from the first chorus. I've only ever had a cathartic experience of this magnitude once in my life: during the intro to IDZ at LMG-2. And this feeling and memory of hearing Monochrome live for the first time will also be locked firmly in my mind until I die. This is simply inevitable.
Honestly everything just CLICKED for this show. The spontaneity with which I went to the show; availability of VIP tickets which allowed me to be at the front; great venue with amazing sound; absolute FIRE of a setlist, the best in years; unique performance of PA PA YA!!; energy of the crowd (at least where I was); and the band itself which is no doubt on top of their game right now. But what made it click isn't really the combination of all these points, but rather the single and indivisible pile of positive energy they helped to shape inside my soul during this amazing weekend.
I'm now sitting in Bahrain on my layover before flying back home. I feel surprisingly calm and focused. I don't feel like I really need more, and I'm not sad everything is over so quickly. Not at all. I'm just fully charged and feel completely rested and at peace. I want to go back to work, work hard, be better version of myself. And then, hopefully in half a year, I'll see them again. Fingers crossed.
NOTHING I have experienced in this life has EVER affected me emotionally stronger than a BABYMETAL show. I don't know why. Everything inside me just turns upside down, I gasp for air, I want to live, breathe, and experience, sparing no expense whatsoever. We truly live in a greatest of timelines. One in which BABYMETAL, having started as, let's be honest here, a quirky experiment and somewhat of a joke (albeit a really smart one) just stubbornly refuses to fall into obscurity and oblivion, and continues to improve for TWELVE YEARS ALREADY, while having 3 out of 4 founding members still going strong (obviously I include Koba in this equation). And the addition of Momoko as a full member will do wonders for them, I'm absolutely sure of it.
I really wish for everyone to have something in their lives with the same level of emotional engagement as we do with BABYMETAL. The world might become a better place. Otherwise, why would you even wanna live?

2023.05.27 11:31 --Flyboy-- Am I on the right path to finding the final pressure and temperature of an ideal gas in a spinning body?

Am I on the right path to finding the final pressure and temperature of an ideal gas in a spinning body?
I'm facing a fascinating challenge that requires some thermodynamic calculations related to a continuous flow centrifuge <https://www.news-medical.net/whitepape20160926/Overview-of-Continuous-Flow-Centrifugation.aspx>. Before diving into the design and construction process, I need to determine the required radius and rate of spin to achieve specific target pressures and temperatures. While I have good building skills, my expertise in thermodynamics is limited. Therefore, I would greatly appreciate your assistance in working out the necessary formulas for this problem.
The objective at hand is to find the pressure and temperature at the final point [f], given the initial state. Let me provide you with the details of the apparatus and the parameters involved.

Simplified CV Overview
The apparatus involves the following elements: The centrifuge operates with one kilogram per second of air entering at the initial point [i]. It has an initial temperature of 293K and a pressure of 100,000Pa. The centrifuge spins around an axis at a rate of 10.47 rad/s (equivalent to 100 RPM). The distance between the axis and the center of the intake at point [i] is 0.2 meters, while the distance between the axis and point [f] is 1.0 meter. Beyond point [f], there is an expansion valve that limits the flow rate to 1 kilogram per second.
To simplify the calculations, I made the assumptions that we are using an ideal gas, that the process is adiabatic, the system is in a steady state, and the system is isentropic.
Given the parameters involved, we need to solve for the final pressure and temperature at point [f]. I came up with the following formulas:
T_f = ((r^2 * ω^2) / (m_dot * Cp)) + T_i
P_f = P_i * Exp[((M * ω^2) / (2 * R * T)) * r^2]

While I have tinkered with these formulas, I'm unsure if my approach is correct as it did not pass my gut-feeling test as the results do not look right at high rates of spin (>10,000 RPM). Your expertise and insights would be invaluable in tackling this problem effectively.
I apologize if this post resembles a homework problem, as it was not my intention. I genuinely seek guidance for a real-world centrifuge application and am feeling way out of my depth. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide!
Edit: It was mentioned that the apparatus description was not clear. I hope this clarification helps.
To simplify the setup, imagine a spinning disk with a pipe attached, resembling a spoke of a wheel. Air enters the pipe near the axle and moves through it, gradually increasing in pressure until it reaches the final point of interest, which is the farthest from the axle. Finally, the end of the pipe is equipped with an expansion valve that regulates the flow rate through the pipe to a predetermined level.

2023.05.23 20:28 Fred_Hophead Tire fix scam? BX 2200 Kubota

I have a Kubota BX2200 that I really love. I am certain the tires are original as they are 23 year old tires and I had an issue with the rear tire needing plugged and tubed and all that jazz...etc etc.
I had the front one go flat on me and all the liquid leak out. NP it is probably the tire is just deteriorated and I need a tube or whatever and some new fluid.
I take it in and ask them to check it. They come to me and tell me the rim has rusted through and that it needs to be spot welded. HMMMMMM I say.
They take me to the back and they show me the "cleaned up" spot. It looked like a brand new rim in there and the whole looked very perfect and round. I didn't get to see the hole before hand. I have worked on cars and tractors most of my life. I am no stranger to a wrench. I have or have had an eye for detail but this seemed to scammy for me.
So I left with a tire, a tube, and a bad grinding job and what I think was a rim with a hole drilled in it, then spot welded.
I don't know what to do about it. I doubt anyone would listen to me.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • Ongoing aircore (“ AC ”) drilling at Novo’s 100%-owned flagship Becher Project continues to deliver promising results, with over 10,000 m of the planned Q2 2023 20,000 m program complete.
  • Becher is located in the northern section of the Egina Gold Camp 28 km along trend from De Grey Mining Limited’s 10.6 Moz Au (JORC 2012) 1 Mallina Gold Project.
  • Drilling is being completed on intrusion-related and structural gold targets generated from the 2022 program 2 which identified an initial priority focus area of ~20 sq km at the Heckmair, Irvine and Whillans prospects.
  • 423 holes for a total of 10,080 m of AC drilling have been completed on 320 m spaced infill drill lines (previously 640 m spaced) at the highly prospective Heckmair intrusion and Irvine shear corridor prospects. Promising results have been generated from the first 349 holes under shallow cover (10 – 20 m) including:
    • 3m @ 5.23 g/t Au from 9 m in F1474
    • 3m @ 2.93 g/t Au from 9 m in F1739
    • 3 m @ 2.08 g/t Au from 12 m F1427
    • 3 m @ 1.04 g/t Au from 18 m in F1469

    • 9 m @ 0.77 g/t Au from 6 m (including 3 m @ 2.05 g/t Au from 6 m) in F1631
    • 15 m @ 0.61 g/t Au from 0 m (including 6 m @ 1.16 g/t Au from 0 m) in F1711
    • 9 m @ 0.39 g/t Au from 51 m in F1597
    • 12 m @ 0.28 g/t Au from 6 m (including 6m @ 0.42 g/t Au from 9 m) in F1498
    • 18 m @ 0.24 g/t Au from 21 m (including 6 m @ 0.39 g/t Au from 24 m) in F1582
  • Most AC gold intercepts to date have been hosted in hornblende diorite intrusion or sediments. AC drilling is a standard approach of shallow drilling that will be used to guide future deeper drilling.
  • Prioritised targets at Heckmair and Irvine will be assessed for deeper RC drilling in Q3 2023, with the remaining ~10,000 m of AC drilling continuing to test additional key areas at Heckmair and Whillans.
Commenting on the drill program, Novo Executive Co-Chairman and Acting CEO Mike Spreadborough said , “We are very excited by further standout assay results from our Becher Project, which is located in the Egina Gold Camp. Our ongoing AC program has highlighted the potential for significant mineralisation throughout the area. Novo has discovered a large broad area of gold anomalism with recent drilling now confirming gold mineralisation extending into the underlying intrusions and sandstone rock units adjacent to De Grey’s Mallina Gold Project. Novo will continue the current drilling program to build on the excellent progress to date at Becher to further define the extent of mineralisation.”
_______________ *1 De Grey has reported that its Hemi deposit at the Mallina Gold Project is comprised of Measured Mineral Resources of 4.7 Mt @ 1.7 g/t Au for 265 koz Au, Indicated Mineral Resources of 153.4 Mt @ 1.3 g/t Au for 6,590 koz Au, and Inferred Mineral Resources of 92.6 Mt @ 1.3 g/t Au for 3,779 koz Au, as those categories are defined in the JORC Code (as defined in National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects). Refer to De Grey’s public disclosure record for further details. No assurance can be given that a similar or any mineral resource estimate will be determined at Novo’s Becher Project.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, May 23, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Novo Resources Corp. ( “Novo” or the “Company” ) (TSX: NVO, NVO.WT & NVO.WT.A) (OTCQX: NSRPF) is pleased to report continued outstanding results from the 2023 AC drilling program at Becher. Results referred to in this news release are not necessarily representative of mineralisation throughout the Egina Gold Camp.
The Becher Project is located in the northern section of the Egina Gold Camp 28 km along trend from De Grey Mining Limited’s (“ De Grey ”) 10.6 Moz Au (JORC 2012) 1 Mallina Gold Project. Novo commenced its 2023 AC program at Becher in mid-April 2023 and has already received gold results for 3,350 (including QAQC) samples of priority drilling, facilitated by a fast-tracked field sampling methodology and Chrysos™ PhotonAssay analysis, currently achieving an assay turnaround time of 5 – 12 days.

Figure 1 - Egina Gold Camp tenure showing the Becher and Nunyerry North Projects and the priority Becher prospects is available at https://www.globenewswire.com/NewsRoom/AttachmentNg/3420ef5e-1f0b-4e46-b8c5-ba12502c4544 .
Background
The Becher Project covers an area approximately 20 sq km in the north of the 100% Novo owned E47/3673 exploration tenement. The area is characterised by shallow cover overlaying the highly prospective and under-explored Mallina Basin. Becher is situated adjacent to De Grey’s 10.6 Moz Au (JORC 2012) 1 Mallina Gold Project and 2.5 km south of their Withnell South discovery 3 ( Figure 1 ).
During 2022, over 32,000 m of drilling was conducted by Novo on broad regional lines (640 m line spacing), focused on ENE trending gold-fertile, structurally complex corridors at Becher and successfully delineated three standout gold and associated pathfinder element targets at Irvine, Heckmair and Whillans. Analysis of multielement geochemistry from bottom-of-hole samples also identified prospective hornblende-diorite intrusions within and around the targeted structural corridors. These intrusions are commonly associated with gold deposits in the Mallina Basin.
The current 20,000 m AC program is testing multiple, high-priority structural and intrusion-hosted gold targets generated from the 2022 programs, delineated in well-defined and highly anomalous structural corridors. Drilling is being completed at high-priority drill prospects at Heckmair, Irvine and Whillans following significant gold and pathfinder anomalies and “sanukitoid” intrusion-related signatures in the 2022 AC bottom-of-hole drill hole samples.
The current drilling program is on schedule for completion by the end of Q2 2023.
_______________
3 While certain aspects of Becher mineralisation seem analogous to that at the Mallina Gold Project as disclosed by De Grey’s Mallina Gold Project, mineralisation is not necessarily representative of mineralisation throughout the Becher Area or the Egina Gold Camp.
Drilling and Results
To date, 423 holes for a total of 10,080 m AC drilling have been completed over the eastern Heckmair and Irvine prospects ( Figure 2 ), with standout gold assay results returned in the first 349 holes. New results show high potential for mineralisation hosted both within the large Heckmair hornblende-diorite intrusion, along and in proximity to large cross-cutting and offset structures and at the margins of the intrusion where they are in contact with the Constantine Sandstone country rocks, all under shallow cover.
Results from the current AC program are located on 320 m lines across the Heckmair prospect and infill the previous 640 m drilling completed during the 2022 program. In addition, an east-west traverse was conducted across both the western and eastern faulted blocks of the Heckmair intrusion, intersecting anomalous gold mineralisation within a demagnetised portion of the intrusion ( Figure 2 and Figure 3 ). Additional infill lines at Irvine are spaced as closely as 160 m in some areas.
Significant intercepts (> 2 g*m in tenor) include:
  • 3 m @ 5.23 g/t Au from 9 m in F1474
  • 15 m @ 0.61 g/t Au from 0 m including 6 m @ 1.16 g/t Au from 0 m in F1711
  • 3 m @ 2.93 g/t Au from 9 m in F1739
  • 9 m @ 0.77 g/t Au from 6 m including 3 m @ 2.05 g/t Au from 6 m in F1631 and 4 m @ 0.4 g/t Au from 27 m including 3 m @ 0.49 g/t Au from 27 m in F1631
  • 3 m @ 2.08 g/t Au from 12 m in F1427
  • 18 m @ 0.24 g/t Au from 21 m including 6 m @ 0.39 g/t Au from 24 m in F1582
  • 9 m @ 0.39 g/t Au from 51 m including 6 m @ 0.45 g/t Au from 51 m in F1597
  • 12 m @ 0.28 g/t Au from 6 m including 6 m @ 0.42 g/t Au from 9 m in F1498
  • 3 m @ 1.04 g/t Au from 18 m in F1469
  • 1 m @ 1.57 g/t Au from 30 m in F1603
Refer to Table 1 in the Appendix below for a complete list of assay results.
Two AC cross-sections examples are shown from the Heckmair intrusion Figure 5 and the Irvine Shear corridor Figure 5 below.
Figure 4 shows a significant zone of pervasive sericite altered and quartz veined intrusion identified in F1498 in the northern portion of the western Heckmair block, with an intercept of 12 m @ 0.28 g/t Au from 6 m, including 6 m @ 0.42 g/t Au from 9 m. The intrusion is characteristic of the medium to coarse grained hornblende-diorite intercepted in other holes within the Heckmair prospect.
An intercept of 3 m @ 5.23 g/t Au from 9 m in F1474 was associated with quartz veining hosted within the Heckmair intrusive in proximity to the southern contact with the Constantine Sandstone country sediments. Anomalous mineralisation occurs both within the sediments to the south and within the intrusion to the north.
An intercept of 9 m @0.77 g/t Au from 9 m including 3m @ 2.05 g/t Au was identified in F1631 and is associated with quartz veining and shearing within the Constantine Sandstone country rocks ( Figure 5 ). F1631 is located at the boundary of the Irvine and Heckmair prospects, with the inferred contact of the intrusion with the sediments approximately 36m to the north-west of the hole collar.
Refer to Table 1 in the Appendix below for a complete list of assay results. True widths from AC drilling cannot be estimated at this time.

Next Steps
Latest results from infill AC drilling highlight the need to continue prioritising these targets, including both structurally controlled and intrusion related gold which appear similar to mineralisation at De Greys’ Mallina Gold Project 3
Given ongoing gold and multielement results, AC drilling will continue past the 20,000 m Q2 2023 program completing the regional reconnaissance 640 m spaced drill lines at Bonatti, and follow up any new targets at closer spacing.
Analytical methodology One-metre samples are collected from the drill rig and placed on the ground in piles for geological quantitative and qualitative logging. These piles are then speared at three-meter composites into a 500-gram Chrysos™ PhotonAssay jar. Some of the end of hole intervals are shorter than three meters depending on final hole depths. Jars are dispatched weekly to Intertek Genalysis (“ Intertek ”) in Perth, Western Australia and analysed for gold using Chrysos™ PhotonAssay (PHXAU01).
QAQC procedures for the program include insertion of a certified blank approximately every 25 samples (4 per hundred), a Chrysos™ PhotonAssay certified standard approximately every 50 samples (2 per 100) and duplicate sampling (split of 3 m composite) at the rate of 4 per hundred. In addition, Intertek inserts Chrysos™ PhotonAssay certified standards at the rate of 2 per hundred.

2023.05.21 21:04 Weird-but-sweet Bib-front Regency gown, part 2: patterning the sleeves (it was nightmarish)

Bib-front Regency gown, part 2: patterning the sleeves (it was nightmarish)
First and foremost, I want to say something: I absolutely, completely, wholly hate sleeves. Why do they even exist? Who invented sleeves? That was a bad move.
After this introduction, let's go into the subject of sleeves for my Regency gown. (For those who don't know, I'm sewing a bib-front Regency gown, doing the pattern from scratch)
I've been working on the pattern since Thursday. I spent at least 25 hours on them, and the pattern is still not perfect. But I'll finish it when I'll arrive at the sleeve step while sewing.
Sooo let's go into the process, it'll be fun!
https://preview.redd.it/dahz0cg3981b1.jpg?width=3096&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3c29e84ec85a1ff43c06352123528fd73ffbf041
It started very innocently on Thursday. I had a few measurements taken. I did a first mock-up for the base sleeve, and it went great. Then a second one to add puff. It was a bit too small in length, so I took note of it and I stopped because I was tired (it was around 2 am).
The second fabric mock-up :D
Colours! Colours and drawings all the way!
Before stopping, I also made a plan for the next day... Oh my, was I optimistic. The next day, I did two more mock-ups. One was way too long. The other was ok, so I sewed it to the bodice mock-up... and discovered that I could NOT raise my arm. Like, at all. Impossible. Yipee.
Next day, same issue. I tried to add a gusset. No good or destroyed the look. I gave up once more around 1 am.
Finally, yesterday, I adjusted the sleeve pattern AND the bodice pattern. Three times. And finally, FINALLY I ended up with a sleeve pattern that 1) fit on my arm 2) fit with the bodice shape (the arm holes go very far in the back) 3) let me raise my arm. I need to shorten it a little and add a band around the arm, but those are details, now that my bodice pattern is validated.
Here are a few of my fabric mock-ups. The last two are sewed to the bodice mock-up
The base sleeve pattern compared to the current sleeve pattern
Oh and in case you don't really know how to change the sleeve pattern, you start with a base pattern that fit your arm, and from that you cut it into pieces, move them around, and draw a new pattern.
(always keep track of the original order, you don't want to have to put them back together as a puzzle later)
here is a small graph of the different pieces and how you use them to have a new pattern. I did this drawing to remember what I wanted to do, as I needed to stop and didn't adjust the same night (and now it's perfect to explain :D)
Now that I have the sleeve pattern and the validated bodice pattern, I'm moving to the bib-front bodice.
My notes for the rest of the pattern
The construction of the bib-front bodice demanded a little brain power from me, but I'm pretty sure I know what I want now. A two-layer piece, the first one (outside), with a longer starting middle that will be gathered, and the second one (inner) will be the right size and shape right away, to fix the gather on.
At the moment I'm writing this post, I am severely late on this project. I wanted to finish the gown's sewing before my sister's arrival on Wednesday. But I have an exam on Tuesday. And it is currently 9pm for me. I have approximately half an hour to put myself in my stays and pattern the bib-front, and then I won't be able to work on the gown for tonight anymore... I know the sewing won't be completely done by my sister's arrival, but the sewing in itself won't be very long, maybe something like 20 to 25 hours top? It was patterning everything that was way too long.

2023.05.20 23:59 an-asian-man Racialised teaching of English in Asian contexts: introduction (2022)

Access: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QSUlHB-GUhbEB3RHzcDQQJZ3E8AxJbsF/view?usp=sharing
Abstract: Issues of race, racialisation, and racism have been increasingly raised in the field of applied linguistics and language education. This special issue focuses on English language teaching (ELT) in Asian contexts (South Korea, Thailand, Japan), where ELT is aggressively promoted with the prevalence of White native-English-speakerism which is not only brought by many sojourner teachers but also endorsed by Asian learners and teachers themselves. It presents qualitative studies that critically examine how racialisation, racism, and raciolinguistic ideologies influence racially diverse teachers’ identities, desires, experiences, and resistance.

2023.05.20 13:29 dressmaker1000 Kubota B1802

I’m looking to buy a Kubota B1802. It comes with 4 in 1 bucket, blade and post hole digger.
I am completely new to tractors but have previously worked as a mechanic so I have base knowledge.
Is there anything specific I should look for? Any problem areas? Or anything specific to check with the attachments or anything else?
Any and all advice greatly appreciated.

I'm deciding between these two brands because they have the most support in my area. I've noticed that Kubota has dramatically more attachments and implements than Massey Ferguson. Is that correct, or is my research failing me? Any idea why that would be or if it even matters?

2023.05.19 17:41 fonoire JD Bush Hog w/ Kubota Tractor?

We will be getting a Kubota L3302 tractor, and a family member has a JD MX6 bush hog. Before we say yes to the free bush hog or buy a Kubota specific one, does anyone know if the JD bush hog attachment will work with the tractor model we are purchasing? It would save us a lot of $$ if it did, which of course would be rad.
(The bush hog is located in another state so we can't use it as a reference currently)

2023.05.18 04:27 ragnormarybrok Advice on repair vs amputation?

Hi! Unfortunately, this morning my 4yo Australian Shepard was ran over by a Kubota on our family farm. He has a history of a prior FHO. The FHO surgery did cause a permanent limp/lame leg only when running/herding animals, but this has not incapacitated him from being a great working farm dog and our beloved family pet.
I am so torn on what to do. I want to do what's best for my dog. I have attached his x-rays. Option 1) repair with a plate and screws, very expensive, long recovery 2) amputate leg, a bit cheaper, shorter recovery.
I am truly only concerned about his quality of life for both options. The vet answered some but not all of my questions. We are waiting to hear more from the surgeon tomorrow, but I am beside myself figuring out what to do. Please, any advice is appreciated!

Gasket hanging out?
I was installing an attachment on my Kubota Bx Tractor today when I noticed what appears to be a bit of plastic liner sticking out at the bottom of the centre PTO shaft. I'm just wondering if this is a sign that the gasket is starting to go or if this is a serious issue.

Reconfig/Reno/extension
Hi we bought this bungalow house and are now looking for ideas to reconfigure as the kitchen living is too small. The house has been extended in the past as seen in the blue.
None of the walls are supporting and are timber stud with the exception of the wall between bed 2/3.
We'd like to maximize the space before going down an extension route.
There is ample space to extend to the front.
Our intial thoughts were to knock and rebuild the garage/blue west side into a two storey and/or extend to the front on the east side.
The conservatory and entrance are all glass porches and will be demolished.
Any thoughts or suggestions welcome.

2023.05.16 08:46 SurajSigh The Benefits And Uses of Mini Tractors

Mini tractors, also known as compact tractors, are small, versatile machines designed for use on small farms, residential properties, and other small-scale agricultural applications. These tractors have become increasingly popular in recent years due to their compact size, affordability, and efficiency.
Mini tractors are typically classified as tractors with an engine horsepower rating of 20–50 horsepower. They are small in size, typically weighing less than 2,000 pounds, and can be operated by one person. They are designed to be maneuverable and versatile, with a variety of attachments and implements that can be used for a wide range of agricultural tasks.
One of the key benefits of mini tractors is their versatility. They can be used for a variety of tasks, such as mowing, tilling, ploughing, hauling, and digging. They are particularly well-suited for use in small gardens, orchards, and vineyards, as they can easily navigate tight spaces and narrow rows.
Mini tractors come in a range of sizes and configurations to suit different needs. Some models are designed specifically for gardening and landscaping, while others are designed for heavier agricultural tasks such as ploughing and tilling. Most mini-tractors are powered by diesel engines, which are efficient and reliable. They may also come with features such as four-wheel drive, power steering, and hydrostatic transmission for ease of use and increased maneuverability.
In addition to their versatility, mini tractors are also relatively affordable compared to larger tractors. They can be purchased new or used, and there are many different brands and models to choose from. Some popular brands of mini tractors include Kubota, John Deere, and Mahindra.

Mini-tractors use
Mini tractors, also known as compact tractors, are small-sized tractors that can be used for a variety of tasks on a farm or property. Here are some common uses for mini tractors:
Lawn and garden maintenance: Mini tractors are perfect for mowing lawns, tilling soil, and maintaining gardens.
Snow removal: The tractor can be equipped with snow ploughs or snowblowers for clearing snow from driveways, sidewalks, and parking lots.
Landscaping: The tractors are ideal for landscaping tasks such as grading, leveling, and spreading materials like mulch and gravel.
Farming: The tractors can be used for small-scale farming tasks such as ploughing, harrowing, and cultivating.
Hauling: The tractors can be used to tow small trailers or carts, making it easier to transport materials around a property.
Construction: The tractors can be used for small-scale construction tasks such as digging foundations or trenches, and moving materials around a job site.
Livestock care: The tractors can be used for tasks such as feeding livestock, cleaning stalls, and hauling manure.
Mini Tractor benefit
Versatility: The tractors can perform a wide range of tasks such as tilling, mowing, ploughing, hauling, and more. They can be used for gardening, landscaping, farming, and other outdoor activities.
Cost-effective: The tractors are less expensive than larger tractors, making them a great choice for small farmers or homeowners with smaller properties. They are also more fuel-efficient, which means they can save money on fuel costs in the long run.
Easy to operate: The tractors are simple to use and require minimal training to operate. They are also easier to maneuver in tight spaces, making them ideal for small gardens and fields.
Low maintenance: The tractors are designed with fewer moving parts, making them easier to maintain and less prone to breakdowns. They also have lower repair costs, which can save money in the long run.
Eco-friendly: The tractors are usually powered by diesel or electric engines that emit less pollution compared to larger tractors. This makes them a more environmentally friendly option for farmers and homeowners.

2023.05.14 12:22 dressmaker1000 Tractor driveway maintenance?

I am moving to a new place with a long driveway up a mild hill.
I would like one capable of running a front bucket and a rear grader blade.
Bonus points if it’s got the capacity to power a backhoe attachment.
Money is tight so a Kubota L235 looks good but I don’t think it would run a backhoe attachment.
What are come recommendations?
1980s models suits the budget.

this is the crash message, I tried all my mods one by one, adding one after another, and ended up with these 3 crashing the game every time
I added autohud alone, it crashed the game. I added InvMove alone, it crashed the game, I added iris alone, it also crashed the game
I didn't try them by themselves, I tried them with my already added mods which I did try one by one, resulting in these 3, I also have 36 mods installed, all client-sided just to improve the game
FIXED: downgraded from iceberg 1.1.10 to 1.1.9, which completely fixed this issue
