In new vegas house told us he shot down most of the nukes but not all of them since he didn’t have the chip ,but why didn’t the US government used this kind of defenses or designed more of them? They didn’t even defend the capital since we can see in FO3 it was bombed to hell while Las vegas was almost Untouched and i suppose the government knew nuclear war was coming cause thats why they build the vaults in the first place ,so why is there not a single defense system in any city?

I feel sick of EA's shoddy practices and making their new "grunge" kit look nothing like grunge, and the lack of gameplay or interesting stories in The Sims 4.
For me, my ideal life-sim game style would be like Stardew if farming wasn't the aspect of the game. Pixel art style, immersive characters with secrets, while focusing on your needs and goals and then I remembered how there's so many hidden gems and coals with game companies trying to be bigger than The Sims long ago.
I thought it would be a good idea to discuss other gems or not so well known Life Sim games that seems fun to us, what was almost lost media, and to cherish our nostalgia. I don't mean Tamagotchi-like games. I mean like actually building relationships, completing goals kind of life-sim games.
We already know games such as Singles: Flirt up your life and Playboy Mansion. They've been played by popular Youtubers already.
I remembered back in the 2000s before smartphones were a huge thing. Gameloft used to make the "Nights" series that runs on Java, and your goal is to become a famous rich celebrity in town, while still maintaining your needs, work, and romancing people. Sad that it never got big. They've also released "Miami Nights" on the Nintendo DS.
So far the "Nights" series includes: Miami Nights (Most well known out of the others), New York Nights, Las Vegas Nights, Tokyo City Nights, and Paris Nights.
While not the "Nights" series, they've released High School Hookups and My Life in New York as story life-sim games too.
Then while I was browsing around for other alternative games, there was an Italian gameboy-like console named "My Life" by Giochi Preziosi. This seems more targeted towards very young girls and unfortunately there's not many information of this. It still seems fascinating though. If anyone had one of these before, do share your experiences!
That's all of the Story-driven life sim games I'm familiar though. Moving on, there's heavily Sims 1 inspired games. Not very story driven but if you miss the old classic vibes, then I've found The Ponies and TinyLife (which everyone already knew so far)
Tinylife is made by an indie developer and is available tk play on Steam. I guess it's like Sims 1 but in a much more simplistic style, BUT you can change family relationships, walk around in an open world environment, and set their favourites.
The Ponies is an ongoing project and I've used to watch their fan animations as a kid, but I feel like this only caters to Bronies or My Little Pony enthusiasts. This project is heavily inspired by My Little Pony's art style. It's not free to play yet but they have progress pictures and do updates on their blog from time to time, and they are looking to hire more people on their team! The gameplay and UI are similar to Sims 1. I think that's all I could say about it.

2023.05.31 01:23 The_Surface Add a game to Steam running off another prefix for another game
The title is not very self explanatory. So I have a pretty complicated issue. I am currently modding Fallout: New Vegas using Mod Organizer 2 which must run off the same prefix or else it will not work. I am running New Vegas through Lutris on GOG and every time I have to open up Lutris, click onto the game, press the wine button at the bottom, and then press 'Run EXE inside Wine prefix' and then run the mod manager in that prefix that way. In gaming mode, this does not work at all. I have even tried adding Lutris to Steam and then press it and the File Manager does not even show up. Is there any way to add a game to Steam running off my specific New Vegas prefix? Thanks for the help. Feel free to ask any questions

From the "Bella" praise to the letter contest being mostly comprised of their softer tunes, I can't help but think of the reception to Cali, BTW, and Stadium Arcadium, both personally and on the RHCP message boards at the times of their releases. For context, this was a band known for fast basslines, dirty lyrics, and frenetic guitar solos with a deliciously nasty tone.
I remember liking Californication from the get-go, but it took about a week of listening to go to loving it because my expectations were, "wild and funky," Chili Peppers. We all know it was critically acclaimed, but I did start to see a tiny drop-off in interest among my musician friends. Nevertheless, I LIVED in the chat rooms in that era.
A few years later, BTW came out, and my bassist and I sat down to listen for the first time. We already dug the titular track because it had a lot of energy. Universally Speaking came on, and I got a sinking feeling in my stomach. My bassist and I looked at each other to both recognize that this was a bad omen. I liked This is the Place a whole hell of a lot, but then it was soft ballad after soft ballad. We were pleading with Flea through our boom box to please save this band from becoming boring. Our prayers were not answered.
The rhcp website had gone from chatroom to message board during that era, and there were topics like, "John Speaks About the Mellow Fiasco," and just a general vibe of, "WHAT IS HAPPENING?!" People were complaining about "heavy" songs like "Body of Water" and "Eskimo" not being on BTW. "They aren't exactly heavy, but it's like fucking Slayer compared to the rest of the album," is one comment that really stuck with me. In the lead-up to Stadium, almost every topic was, "Will they bring back funk?" "Will they ever rock again?!" and the like. 😂
Some live acoustic versions of "Wet Sand", "Desecration Smile", and "Dani California" came out to mixed reactions. Some, such as myself, were still holding out hope that the funk was coming back, and others, such as myself, were already relieved to hear that the new stuff was promising. I was able to see them debut, "21st Century," and, "Readymade," live in Las Vegas, months before Stadium came out. They both made me really happy, and received mixed reviews on the boards. After Stadium released, it was almost like judgement day. It was equal parts, "I love this album!" and, "I'm done with this band. This is just a rehash of what they've already done".
Personally, I loved Stadium, and only after its release was I able to fully appreciate BTW as an awesome phase of their sound.
Still, though, the fans that stuck around after Stadium seemed to be the ones more into RHCP's radio friendly side, and though they already had ballads before that album, it seemed to be the turning point for the fan base.
It's still surprising as an old-school fan to see BTW getting so much love, and BSSM songs like Sir Psycho getting snubbed in favorite song contests. It would've been incomprehensible before Stadium.

I'm curious what are some of your favorite lesser known breweries? We all know Great South Bay, Greenport, Dubco is not so unknown any more. My favorite is Ghost but I feel like its pretty well known these days given its proximity to GSB. Noble Savage is a great one out in glen cove, not sure how populer it is these days. San City is pretty big now with the new location.

OK after you finish there, dead money, DLC for fallout new Vegas and you go into Elijah safe room I guess u would call it on one of the L desk. There is a t51 power mode helmet. Then if you take it and go down to the brotherhood of steel base, in hidden Valley. And if you go to the sales woman, I forget her name there is three T 51 helmet them below, there is for suits of t51 there was 4 of them so did Elijah take one of the helmets before he left?

He just has some stuff to figure out. He was getting crushed in his past few starts, and it was the right move to make. The usual suspects' continued confounding slow starts (Manoah, Kirk, Varsho, etc) have dropped us 10 games back from TB, last place in the best division in baseball. And YET, hope springs. Berrios (3 or fewer ER in 8 of his last 9 starts) finally appears to be pitching to the level expected of him when he was signed, and is pumping out quality starts along with Gausman and Bassitt. Kikuchi has slipped as Kikuchi does but has been very solid for a #5. We don't have the depth to send Manoah down for some needed alone time, but he's pushing it. Vladdy has been scuffling, Springer is heating up, and Bichette is an MVP candidate. With a little bit of lucky regression to the mean with abysmal RISP numbers, this team is just a few turns away from being very good. As long as we don't have to play too many games vs AL East teams. | 12 | Red Sox | -1 | Scoring four runs total while getting swept by the Angels isn't a great look. This team is in many ways aggresively mediocre, always making sure that every win streak is followed up by an equally painful gut-punch. This is mainly due to the reliance on the offense to carry us to victory (2-17 when scoring <=3 runs), when the bats get cold, you're safe to turn off the game. Whitlock returning from injury and Bello/Sale both stepping up their game in May (2.74/2.42 ERA respectively) are good steps towards this team becoming Actually Good™ though. So, they threw two games out of 7 – that’s allowed. In the bad news department, Joc, Joey, and Thairo all not expected back until June 6th. I think we’re okay with more Bailey Patrick and this also means another look at unpredictable slugger David Villar. Slater continues covering for Joc. Let’s look a the numbers: 13th in MLB in Run Diff (+6 spots), 12th in RS / G (+6), 15th in RA / G (+2), 23rd in Bullpen ERA (+5). All of that is good and especially the bullpen is promising recently. The Phillies most pressing need is now seemingly a 5th starter who isn't a guaranteed loss, as this week they trotted out Dylan Covey, who hadn't started a game since 2019. He got 2 outs and gave up 7 runs. He took the spot of Bailey Falter who, after a surprisingly productive 2022, started the season 0-7. Falter is the far better option, but Dave Dombrowski will likely be looking to upgrade until Andrew Painter can finally return. This week, the NL East road trip continues with their first 3 games against the Mets and 3 in Washington. Here's hoping June Schwarber shows up again this year. | 25-28 | |
| 20 | Padres | -1 | My Dad tells me it’s ok that the Dad’s lost 2 / 3 to NY; the Dodgers lost 2 / 3 to the Rays! The Pads aren’t in the same stratosphere as the Dodgers right now, though. 5 games under .500, 10th in the NL standings, 3 games out of the last wildcard slot. Of course there’s quite a bit of time to change it, there’s plenty of time to go on a run, or a slow and steady good month to gain ground. With every day that passes however, that goal becomes a bit harder to reach; I don’t think Pads fans were hoping for a wildcard spot by the end of this season, but that’s the position the team has to get to before even thinking of catching LA. I have been told by my wife’s attorney, Tom, that they are “aware” of my online activity regarding our impending divorce, so today let’s have a nice, calm, relaxing, perfectly fine, good old fashioned talk about Reds baseball. The Reds are just sorta middling. They’re not great but they’re not horrible. Unlike my marriage. Our starting pitching has resgressed, just like my marriage, and it’s very unfortunate to see, because our bullpen has been quite reliable unlike my wife. We still can’t hit home runs for some reason, but overall unlike my marriage the Reds on the upturn. There, are you happy Tom? I didn’t mention all the crap that’s been going on lately. I didn’t mention how I had to leave the Motel 6 I was at because I found a used needle in the bathroom, and by the way Tom, I know that you’re trying to use that as evidence that I can’t take care of my kids. I don’t even know who’s needle it was, it was like wedged behind the toilet. Believe me, I only found it because I dropped my phone while using the toilet. It wasn’t even visible, I had to like get on my hands and knees and crawl behind the toilet to grab my phone. So it puts the image in my head of some heroin addict or whatever sitting behind a toilet at a Motel 6 trying to get high, which honestly that just seems like an even worse situation than the one i’m in. Do I think it’s a coincidence that the day after I left the Motel 6 because of this, you’re requesting a drug test from me before I can see my kids? Huh Tom? How did you know about this incident Tom? The only people that know are the Motel 6 staff I notified, I don’t think any police showed up, so either you questioned them like i’m some criminal, or you’re following me. I know you’re reading this Tom, you’ve made several references to my posts on the baseball power rankings insinuating it’s me writing them, and yeah Tom you’re right it is me, can everybody in the comments give praise to Tom for being a regular Sherlock Holmes? Anyway, I think once more of our prospects are called up, probably around June or July, we may get hot and finish more closely to .500 than initially thought, and if this division stays like it is, and those prospects can deliver on their promise, it's entirely possible we could be in contention for the division. I have been playing New Vegas for years but only on pc. I wanted to get the achievements on the 360, so this is my first time playing it on here. Going to freeside through the East gate I notice two body guards for hire I’ve never seen before. I swear there aren’t any guards here on the pc version. Did I just forget about them?

I finally managed to get a stable base loadout on this game. It doesn't crash. It doesn't stutter or lag. I have almost 100 mods so far...I have 2k textures.... I have weapon mods. I have animations.
Is this the promised land boys ? Is this... Modded New Vegas ? Will I live long enough to regret this ? Will I ever talk to the boomers for the first time ? The world may never know !

Last time I remember watching them was maybe five or six years ago, it was two older guys and the most notable things I remember were a mod where they could drive a car, giant sized geckos, and an arena where they would pit modded enemies to fight against each other, they also had a patreon that would show their supporters in each video. I’ve been trying to find them forever but just can’t, anything helps.
