This has been a user for me. I am the original owner. Will come in the original box, but I have dyed the scales.
This is originally the teal variant of the S90V PM2. I RIT Dyed the scales peacock green, but there's evidence of the dye wearing off from carry time as well as snail trailing from objects in my pocket rubbing on the scales. I've taken the blade to a sharpening stone once, though I just refined the apex more than gave it a thorough sharpening, so you can see much of the factory grind lines toward the choil side of the edge. Has been maintained on a strop since. Currently shaving sharp.
Blade centering is pretty good but not quite perfect and there is zero side-to-side blade play, while dropping shut when you disengage the compression lock. Some wear to the black pocket clip as to be expected when carrying and using a Spydie with a black clip. Overall in smooth, functional condition, but definitely shows it's a user.

I been playing BOTW on Cemu. 1st day, the game running ok at 80+fps but it heat up too quick and started to throttling. Every time the game drops under 60fps, I instantly turn it off to let it cool down.
The 2nd day, I learned that the heating problem was cause by the processor tubro boost mode so I turned it off, still nothing improve. I try to undervolt the GPU with Afterburner, this time, thermals performance did improve but my FPS drop below 60fps, sometimes 50fps, my fps is really inconsistent.
I’m currently running my g14 on stock, I didn’t open Armory Crate or anything related to ASUS, matter of fact I uninstalled all apps related to ASUS and disabled turbo boost. BOTW now running at 72+fps since I lock it at that frame rate. I didn’t notice any thermal throttle yet since I only play it for 30 mins.
Do you guys have any recommendations for this?

Long story short, my LGS was working on my P-01 Omega and somehow they broke the decocker lever. The part is apparently unobtainable.

Backstory: So a couple nights ago, my mom told a neighbor kid to stop playing baseball in our neighbor across the streets house because he hit our neighbor to the right of us's car with the ball (and because that neighbor told them they weren't allowed to play in his yard bc of his expensive cars in the driveway + we have a whole park down the street!!). In all honesty, this kid has sorta terrorized the neighborhood since he moved in last summer, but nonetheless.
The moms of both boys came down to talk to my mom and basically said "if you have a problem come talk to us not yell at our kid" which my mom has gone down there before and nothing really happens. So this happened last year but every once in a while I think about it and just wanted to share my experiences. It's not as wild as some of the other ones on here, but it still makes me laugh when I think back. I was 26F just for context.
I was looking for a place to live for 3 months so I can complete an internship for grad school, so I found a room for rent online and met up with her. It was a woman in her 60's, she seemed friendly enough and she told me she lived with her daughter and her daughter's boyfriend. I signed the 3 month lease and paid the down deposit, moved in shortly after.
First it was just a bunch of little things, like the shower or the toilet would be clogged and I would gently bring it up to her because maybe something was wrong with the shower drain, but I sure didn't want to be responsible for cleaning up after someone else's toilet disasters. And it's just us that shares the bathroom. But she would deny that she was in there, whatever, I dealt with it.
Then she went in my room twice without my consent, the first time she told me how she went in there to look at something I owned. Which was weird. The second time I was in the shower and got back into my room and noticed that the overhead light was on, which I never used and I'm confident I did not turn it on. When I asked her about it, she denied going into my room, and later denied going in the first time. To me, it's not the end of the world, but it's a weird thing to lie about.
On two occasions she told me that my car was missing from where I parked in the street. She seemed genuinely concerned, which obviously caused me a bit of a panic until I went outside and saw my car was, in fact, still there. I'm really not sure what that was about still.
She told me that the a previous renter set up an internet cable to his room from the house router, and she was convinced that he is somehow still using it to get on our internet and into our personal information. I don't think that's how that works, but she didn't really believe me.
She asked me to sit with her and her daughter for a video call for a potential new roommate, a girl in her mid 20s. This girl seemed very respectful, responsible, and nice, from my perspective. However, she was a certain race and this is when I learned that the old lady was racist. She asked about 4 times during the interview "how will you even afford this room?" which was honestly ridiculous and offensive. The girl was also sitting outside in the sun, squinting her eyes because SHE WAS IN THE SUN, and the old lady asked her twice if she was "high on drugs". After the call, she proceeded to say how people of this race steal things, and I let her know that was absolutely rude and racist and I will not hear things like that from her mouth. The girl obviously rejected the room.
The daughter and her boyfriend would get into yelling and cussing matches at least a few times a week, which made me very uncomfortable.
One day the old lady asked me not to come home that night, because in her roommate search she gave a man our address then later told him she didn't want to rent to him (I knew it was due to him not being white) and she was worried he was going to come by and was worried about my safety. This just pissed me off, and he dodged a bullet.
Finally, one night at 2 or 3 am, I woke up to a man's voice inside the house saying "make your presence known" or something, with a flashlight shining through my doors. I was really confused and didn't know who it was but they came up to my room and I said I was in there, and apparently it was a cop who opened my door with a flashlight and gun pointed at me and he told me to go wait outside. Which I did, and everyone else was out there. Apparently the old lady thought someone came down from the attic and tried to get into her bedroom, so she called the cops. It just scared the crap out of me.
This all happened within one month. One of the ladies at my internship had an extra room that I could rent out, so I packed all my crap up one night, and a few of the ladies helped me move everything the next morning. I am so grateful for their help.
I tried to discuss this with the old lady, but she was pissed I wanted to leave. Even her daughter was on my side, but the lady wanted me to pay the rest of my lease. There was one statement in the lease that said "All tenants in the house will remain respectful and quiet for the rest of the house" or something similar, so I used that statement to get out of my lease, since there was constant yelling.
Then for weeks the daughter's boyfriend (who was in his 40's btw) kept texting me long texts, that sounded like slam poetry or something. One of the lines was "my voice cuts the air like a hot knife through butter" and "had I met you prior to you moving in I would have offered a quick primer and sought a confirmable eye lock and head nod so you'd have had a bit of a heads up for the random crazy that happens here".
Sorry this was so long, I think I just needed to write it all down and hopefully someone will find it amusing. I'd love to know if anyone had similar experiences and I wish everyone luck with their own bad roommates! Thank you.

2023.05.31 00:46 WorldofSoup Henry Model X action hitting hammer
I just picked up my Model X from Bass Pro, and I noticed that when I moved the lever, the bolt hits the hammer. When I work the action quickly it still hits the hammer, but it's not as noticeable as when I move it slowly. On top of that, when I lock the action closed, it sometimes catches and is hard to operate when opening it, and feels a bit rough, as if it the metal is grinding against each other (I put some lube and clp, and it did help but did not completely stop this). I saw another post mentioning that other people also have some wobble in the lever perpendicular to the barrel, which is fine if it's normal, but I have a golden boy, and I would say it is by far more smoth of an action. If this is normal for the X that's fine, but I'm just making sure that there isn't an issue that I need to contact Henry for.

 | Hello. I have 2011 PRO-4X with 84.000 miles I've got in Nov 2021. As I remember car had just 1 owner and 74000 miles when I purchased it. Recently put new drilled front rotors with brake pads. Flushed differential oil and a new seal. Full synthetic Oil was changed every 5000 miles. Working Offroad lamps Has original Fosgate Rockford radio. Subwoofer. 6 speed manual that sometimes grinds a Lil bit when you go from 1st to 2nd (have to switch gears slowly to avoid grinding) everything works as it should. Differential lock. Located in Philadelphia PA. How much can I sell it for? Trying to trade it in for a plug in hybrid. Drive 100 miles every week to work. Have to save some gas money. On Friday I gave a student lunch detention as it is one of our school’s consequences for certain behaviors. This student was so upset that today at lunch they tried to open my door (it’s always locked). When it wouldn’t open, they tugged harder and screamed at me to “open the damn door.” I immediately felt unsafe, as the community I serve is one of high crime activity (for reference, one of my students from last year is now in prison for murder). So, of course I send the student to the office and notify the principals immediately. What do they do? At the end of the day, the head principal comes to my room to say she didn’t have time to talk to the student because there were other things going on, she states that she still needs to hear his side of the story, and when I bring up the fact that our school has cameras, she brushes it off and ends with “we’ll get back to you.” ????
How can I stand up for myself and my safety in this situation?

So a few months ago in December I was in a really bad mood and so my friend, let’s call him T, invited me over to his place for some drinks and video games. My partner at the time had recently split with me and I was getting used to being alone for the first time in a long time.
He had some other friends over and one of them is a drug user, who knows everything there is to know about that type of thing. Let’s call him P. I had never met him before then and didn’t know much about that world. I smoked a bit of weed in high school but that was it.
My friend T is a stoner but that’s it. None of the people in our friend group did anything big. It was just this one person who I had never met before.
None of us were sober that night, I was drinking pretty heavily and P was high. My friend T told me he paid for an Uber for me and I was very thankful, but later on after everyone was inebriated he revealed he hadn’t actually planned on doing it. I called another friend but no one was available, so I decided to walk myself home. I live in a part of our city near where P lives, so we agreed to walk back together for safety reasons (I’m a short gay guy, and I was pretty drunk).
On the way back P ends up stopping somewhere and buying some drugs. I didn’t know what kind at the time. I wait with him for the person to bring it to him, and it was the first time I ever saw that sort of interaction, so I was scared. The guy said I was too drunk to be an undercover cop. The night gets fuzzy so I’m trying to get it all down.
Once P had what he had purchased, we made it to my place, and he asked to crash on my couch. I reluctantly agreed, but I was embarrassed by the mess that was my place.
He didn’t mind, and so we had one last round of beers and watched the end of a Harry Potter movie on tv, and that’s the last I remember. I woke up on the couch with him on the floor in front of me.
I was a little hungover but other than that it was a normal morning. I took a shower and by the time I was out he was gone. It was a little after ten so I made breakfast and tried to calm down.
I found a bag of powder he left on the floor near where he slept. It was a light brown and there was only a little bit there. I picked it up and planned on calling him to tell him. I went to work at one and got home after ten.
When I got home I found the bag because I had forgotten. I was in a pretty shit mood and my curiosity got the better of me. I’ve seen movies so the things I did that night were honestly embarrassing. I took a plastic straw from my kitchen and cut off the end. I dumped the powder onto my counter and lined it up using a Dunkin’ Donuts gift card. I thought long and hard, but I guess not enough, because I snorted it using the fucking end of the straw, and sat down at the table, cradling my head.
At first I felt nothing. I sat there for what must’ve been fifteen minutes just surprised. And then I stood up.
I think the moment I stood up was potentially the greatest moment of my life, when it hit me all at once, and I just stood in awe, complete euphoria, the greatest peace, I can’t even describe it. I had no pain, no worry, no sorrow, only pleasure. I laid down on the couch and soaked it all up. It was the greatest feeling ever.
I fell asleep not long after and honestly I hate myself for it. I should’ve stayed awake to appreciate and savor every second. The best feeling in my life and I slept through it.
I felt fine waking up but I called P to tell him what I did. I was preparing to pay him however much he wanted, but when we talked he wasn’t concerned about money. He was concerned about my health. Said it was fucking heroin, and how stupid I was for just snorting a powder I found on my floor, and especially not for telling him I was doing it. He basically yelled at me because he said I could’ve overdosed since I’m not used to it. I asked him if he had any more and he lost his shit at me, telling me I was ruining my life and shit. I was just in shock, because my friend T never seemed like the type to associate with a heroin junkie, and it wasn’t what I was preparing for. I don’t know what I had been thinking it was. Something more tame.
P refused to help me out and after talking to another friend I decided I wasn’t going to try to get high again, because I was afraid I’d hurt myself.
About a week and a half later I was babysitting my niece while my sister and her wife were out overnight. After my niece was in bed I was making myself a place to sleep and found a safe in the linen closet. I didn’t think. I just started to try to open it. And it was their wedding anniversary so it was easy to get into it. Inside they had a bunch of stuff, but I ignored the cash (like an idiot) and found a pill bottle of OxyContin, with my sister in law’s name on it. I opened it to nineteen pills, and took them all. I locked the safe back up with the pill bottle, now empty, still inside.
I hate the fact that I did this. But since it’s anonymous here, I’m telling the truth. One place I don’t have to lie.
The next day I snorted two pills and saw stars. It wasn’t quite as amazing as the first time with heroin, but it was pretty fucking spectacular. But I knew I only had a small amount so I focused on getting heroin.
I went back to the spot where P got heroin that night. I stood out in the snow for a few hours, checking my phone and playing stupid, before giving up. But my feet still hurt from it.
I called P and asked to meet him for lunch. Maybe he suspected something because he brought T along as well. We went to a nice restaurant where it was impossible for me to casually ask where to find heroin around. But I had become completely obsessive. It was the only thing that mattered to me anymore.
So I just asked. In front of T and the entire restaurant. “How do I contact that man we met” or something as cryptic and pathetic as that.
P gave me a phone number and I finally felt relieved.
I’ve been texting this man, call him L, for months now. I never had guessed how expensive it would be. I’m on top of it, like I don’t think my boss or my sister suspects anything. I’m managing to pay for it but I don’t have money for much else. I had to stop drinking coffee in the mornings and shit like that.
Looking back it’s actually so insane how this happened. I know it’s crazy. I had a moral code that I believed in that I threw out the window just to chase that feeling I had in December. That one goddamn feeling where they only thing that mattered was the pleasure.
I know it’s a problem but I can’t tell anyone in my real life because I know how scared they’d be. It sounds worse than it is. You hear heroin and you think the worst but I think I have it under control. I’m just disgusted with myself for lying and stealing.
Am I crazy, though? For thinking I can do this? Because it really feels like I can. It honestly feels like fate that I found it that night. It’s the only thing that makes me feel okay. The only thing. And if it kills me in the long run I guess I don’t really care because it gave me new life.

On the way back P ends up stopping somewhere and buying some drugs. I didn’t know what kind at the time. I wait with him for the person to bring it to him, and it was the first time I ever saw that sort of interaction, so I was scared. The guy said I was too drunk to be an undercover cop. The night gets fuzzy so I’m trying to get it all down.
Once P had what he had purchased, we made it to my place, and he asked to crash on my couch. I reluctantly agreed, but I was embarrassed by the mess that was my place.
He didn’t mind, and so we had one last round of beers and watched the end of a Harry Potter movie on tv, and that’s the last I remember. I woke up on the couch with him on the floor in front of me.
I was a little hungover but other than that it was a normal morning. I took a shower and by the time I was out he was gone. It was a little after ten so I made breakfast and tried to calm down.
I found a bag of powder he left on the floor near where he slept. It was a light brown and there was only a little bit there. I picked it up and planned on calling him to tell him. I went to work at one and got home after ten.
When I got home I found the bag because I had forgotten. I was in a pretty shit mood and my curiosity got the better of me. I’ve seen movies so the things I did that night were honestly embarrassing. I took a plastic straw from my kitchen and cut off the end. I dumped the powder onto my counter and lined it up using a Dunkin’ Donuts gift card. I thought long and hard, but I guess not enough, because I snorted it using the fucking end of the straw, and sat down at the table, cradling my head.
At first I felt nothing. I sat there for what must’ve been fifteen minutes just surprised. And then I stood up.
I think the moment I stood up was potentially the greatest moment of my life, when it hit me all at once, and I just stood in awe, complete euphoria, the greatest peace, I can’t even describe it. I had no pain, no worry, no sorrow, only pleasure. I laid down on the couch and soaked it all up. It was the greatest feeling ever.
I fell asleep not long after and honestly I hate myself for it. I should’ve stayed awake to appreciate and savor every second. The best feeling in my life and I slept through it.
I felt fine waking up but I called P to tell him what I did. I was preparing to pay him however much he wanted, but when we talked he wasn’t concerned about money. He was concerned about my health. Said it was fucking heroin, and how stupid I was for just snorting a powder I found on my floor, and especially not for telling him I was doing it. He basically yelled at me because he said I could’ve overdosed since I’m not used to it. I asked him if he had any more and he lost his shit at me, telling me I was ruining my life and shit. I was just in shock, because my friend T never seemed like the type to associate with a heroin junkie, and it wasn’t what I was preparing for. I don’t know what I had been thinking it was. Something more tame.
P refused to help me out and after talking to another friend I decided I wasn’t going to try to get high again, because I was afraid I’d hurt myself.
About a week and a half later I was babysitting my niece while my sister and her wife were out overnight. After my niece was in bed I was making myself a place to sleep and found a safe in the linen closet. I didn’t think. I just started to try to open it. And it was their wedding anniversary so it was easy to get into it. Inside they had a bunch of stuff, but I ignored the cash (like an idiot) and found a pill bottle of OxyContin, with my sister in law’s name on it. I opened it to nineteen pills, and took them all. I locked the safe back up with the pill bottle, now empty, still inside.
I hate the fact that I did this. But since it’s anonymous here, I’m telling the truth. One place I don’t have to lie.
The next day I snorted two pills and saw stars. It wasn’t quite as amazing as the first time with heroin, but it was pretty fucking spectacular. But I knew I only had a small amount so I focused on getting heroin.
I went back to the spot where P got heroin that night. I stood out in the snow for a few hours, checking my phone and playing stupid, before giving up. But my feet still hurt from it.
I called P and asked to meet him for lunch. Maybe he suspected something because he brought T along as well. We went to a nice restaurant where it was impossible for me to casually ask where to find heroin around. But I had become completely obsessive. It was the only thing that mattered to me anymore.
So I just asked. In front of T and the entire restaurant. “How do I contact that man we met” or something as cryptic and pathetic as that.
P gave me a phone number and I finally felt relieved.
I’ve been texting this man, call him L, for months now. I never had guessed how expensive it would be. I’m on top of it, like I don’t think my boss or my sister suspects anything. I’m managing to pay for it but I don’t have money for much else. I had to stop drinking coffee in the mornings and shit like that.
Looking back it’s actually so insane how this happened. I know it’s crazy. I had a moral code that I believed in that I threw out the window just to chase that feeling I had in December. That one goddamn feeling where they only thing that mattered was the pleasure.
I know it’s a problem but I can’t tell anyone in my real life because I know how scared they’d be. It sounds worse than it is. You hear heroin and you think the worst but I think I have it under control. I’m just disgusted with myself for lying and stealing.
Am I crazy, though? For thinking I can do this? Because it really feels like I can. It honestly feels like fate that I found it that night. It’s the only thing that makes me feel okay. The only thing. And if it kills me in the long run I guess I don’t really care because it gave me new life.

The subject is a native Android 10 (NOT Android Auto) car head unit, that is, it works exclusively in landscape mode.
For driving safety I want to write a launcher – similar to Windows Taskbar – where all recent apps and relevant apps' shortcuts stay persistently on a vertical “taskbar” on the left part of the screen (assuming that I'll lose a narrow vertical band from the usable area of the screen).
There are already similar launchers in the store, the most popular being Taskbar, but all have an unacceptable drawback. That is, the taskbar floats OVER the app (thus hides a part of it) instead forcing apps to fit a smaller area, exactly how MS Windows works: even maximized app won't slip under the locked taskbar.
As I can see there are 3 approaches worth to follow under Android:
(2) might be the comfortable and preferable way but having even more problems to solve. We should lock the split and prevent any apps to show full screen, I'm not even sure that all Android implementations let customize programmatically the split ratio.
Unfortunately (3) sounds a bit nonsense even for my basic Android knowledges. But still worth to ask.
What's your thoughts, which one is the worth-to-follow way? Hardly think I'll be able to avoid coding from scratch, but I still hope there should bel be an easy (or even ready-made) solution.

- Create a persistent(?) asymmetrical screen split where the launcher occupies the (much) smaller split on the left while apps are always shown in the right (big) split.
- “Lie” Android about the usable area of the screen when launching an app.
